Living is Easy... With Eyes Closed

Whoever said life was easy was the biggest liar that has ever walked the face of the earth. Truth is: Life isn't easy.

Every day, we are faced with decisions. All kind of decisions like what should I eat for lunch, who should i sit next to in class, should i stand up for myself even if it might get me in trouble?, or even decisions like should i be friends with them, should i change to be friends with them, or are they even worth it? These decisions that we make will affect our future. Every choice we make will change the route that our lives will take, where we will end up, and who we will and will not be friends with.

The past month or so has really been a struggle for me. It seems like, just when you think things in your life are going so well and you're at the place you should be, somehow things find a way to flip on you and you're world is turned upside down and smashed. You're just there with the pieces of your broken heart with no one to pick them up and put them together. You're there just waiting for someone to pick you up and say 'its time to move on i'll help you'. Someone to hold your hand and say 'when you fall i'll pick you up', 'when you feel like theres no hope left i will be here waiting with my arms wide open' and 'when you've got no where else to turn and you're ready to give in i will help you because i love you'. We need these people. These people are the reason that we actually have hope. But the problem is these kind of people are becoming scarce.

Bill Withers says it best-- "If there is a load you have to bear that you cant carry i'm right up the road i'll share your load if you just call me so just call on my brother when you need a hand we all need somebody to lean on i just might have a problem that you'd understand we all need somebody to lean on, lean on me when you're not strong ill be your friend i'll help you carry on for it wont be long til im gonna need somebody to lean on"

At one point or another we will all need someone to help us get thru. To encourage us and to 'hold our hand' to help us get through everything that we're going through. Someone to lean on when we're not strong enough to get through by ourselves. But in order to get a friend, you must first be a friend. You must be the first one to extend your hand when someone needs help, you must be the first one to go out of your way to make someone feel you're love.

I would really like to tell you that all stories have a happy ending, but really they dont. People will fail you. People will stab you in the back. People will break your heart. You will have to burn bridges and choose different paths for your life. Sometimes you'll think you have just what you need or want and then something better will come or a door will be closed. But remember this: Every time one door is closed, another is opened.

I learned from you that i do not crumble. i learned that strength is something you choose. All of the reasons to keep on believing theres no question thats a lesson that i learned from you
